In an effort to better organize the citizens of El Cerrito and Kensington in the event of a major disaster, the CERT Program will be launched an Information Sharing Project which will allow CERT participants to share information with other CERT members in our communities. This Information Sharing Project will be strictly be on a voluntary basis and require those who want to participate sign an "Opt In" form that will be distributed to participants. By opting in to the program you will be able to share information that can assist you with organizing your neighborhood and/or area that you live. In 2010 the "Opt-In Program" will become the "Opt-Out Program" for all new participants receiving training through the CERT Program. In addition, area maps are in the process of being developed to indentify the location of CERT members,
amateur radio operators, shelters, etc. Please see our
